  • Demonstrate a range of strategies to teach materials related knowledge in the KS3 and GCSE D&T curriculum
  • Know how to source material samples and resources to support teaching materials related knowledge in D&T


Content

  • Develop your knowledge of materials, their properties and associated processes, supporting effective delivery of both practical and theoretical elements of the Design and Technology curriculum.
  • Gain hands-on experience of working with a range of materials, relevant to all material areas at key stage 3 and GCSE Design and Technology core content.
  • This course is relevant for Design and Technology departments involved in teaching Key stage 3 and / or GCSE Design and Technology in England. 
  • Content will be taught in a classroom setting, allowing for the demonstrated activities to be carried out in a non-specialist room.
