12: A Year in Photos

Over the last year I set myself the challenge of taking photos of everyday things I saw around me. At the beginning of the project it was clear the pandemic was still going to be around for a while, which meant that with some freedoms curtailed we would be more restricted to what we could do and see. I’m lucky enough to live within walking distance of the sea, so have lots to see and enjoy locally, but with this project I also wanted to notice the little things around me in more detail. At the end of each month I collated the images I’d taken that best reflected the things that had made me pause for thought. This is the final collection of images and across the series of 12 collections they will remind me of the second year of the pandemic and its challenges, but also of the many positives I gained from my local area.
