Poppy Lennox is a London based artist whose work includes using gold leaf, paint and embroidery onto wood. She has a particular interest in stitching onto unusual materials including paper and wood. I saw her work in our local gallery, Oakland, as part of an exhibition celebrating International Women’s Day. Her use of embroidery onto wood was of particular interest to me as this is the type of combination of materials and techniques I like to use myself.
