AwaytoMars - not a competition as such, this is a collaborative fashion design platform (age 14 and above). Ideas are made into crowdfunding campaigns and successful campaigns then go into production with profits being shared with the designer.
Alu D&T Challenge - designing with aluminium (website includes free teaching resources)
Biomimicry Global Design Challenge
Bright Ideas Challenge (cross curricular competition for schools by Shell)
British Language Champions (an event & competition combined as the winning teams that attend get prizes. The focus is on raising the profile of modern foreign languages in the workplace and there are several D&T related days e.g. Flair for International Fashion and the International Space Challenge)
