Ideas for competitions your students could enter. Information in brackets indicates the closing dates for competitions. If the competition listed has passed it’s closing date it may still be useful to search the website link for any new competitions.

My current competition - Product in a Tin

AwaytoMars - not a competition as such, this is a collaborative fashion design platform (age 14 and above). Ideas are made into crowdfunding campaigns and successful campaigns then go into production with profits being shared with the designer.

Biomimicry Global Design Challenge (ends April 2017)

British Science Week

British Language Champions (an event & competition combined as the winning teams that attend get prizes. The focus is on raising the profile of modern foreign languages in the workplace and there are several D&T related days e.g. Flair for International Fashion and the International Space Challenge)
