Let’s Learn

Take a look at the work of some by the design degree students in 2017.

An e-textile and infrared camera system which uses vitro-haptics to give real time feedback on the user’s weight training technique (Milly White)

A vest that detects motion behind you using radar making you aware of hazards around you (Oliver Davidson)

An interactive vibroacoustic sensory system for autistic adolescents designed to incorporate music therapy into everyday life (Emma Martin)

Point shoes that allow movements to be tracked raising the dancer’s awareness of bad technique and preventing injury (Bryony Lee)

#ThinkDo

  • How might the work of these students inspire your own ideas. Don’t forget to credit the students in your work.

Practical activities and ideas are provided as a starting point only. Students should use these as inspiration as part of an iterative design process developing the idea further themselves. Credit should be given to the original source where appropriate.
