Good to know

The resources are editable Word and PowerPoint documents so they can be personalised by the teacher for use in their classroom. The ‘how to’ resources include high quality images showing how to do each technique so they are suitable for weak students. Some techniques also include a ‘how to’ handout showing technical drawings and instructions and these are helpful for developing an understanding of how to create technical drawings and instructions.

Curriculum links

This resource supports the development of skills & knowledge of textiles practical techniques at KS3, 4 & 5. It provides teachers with ready to use classroom resources that students can use independently. It also supports teachers to develop their own skills in basic textiles techniques, particularly non specialist teachers. In addition to ‘how to’ PowerPoints and handouts there are additional resources suitable for homeworks, starters and lesson activities.
