Extreme knitting!

Last week’s blog featured some extreme crochet and I am following it up this week with some extreme knitting. I think this ball of wool chair is something very different and fun. It was the winner of last year’s Adnams Flying Egg competition which takes place in Southwold in Sussex each year. The theme for last year was to design an alternative deckchair with this year’s theme being on clocks. http://www.air-artists.org/artists_talking/article/302248

Continuing on the ball of wool theme I also came across this brilliant way of making tiny pompoms using a fork. Such a simple but brilliant idea! http://www.curbly.com/users/diy-maven/posts/13786-how-to-make-fork-pom-poms-and-bows

And finally on this theme is the art of body knitting where instead of using knitting needles you use you arms and hands.  This short video shows Melbourne based artist Teresa Dair body knitting a scarf.  http://www.abc.net.au/local/videos/2011/08/10/3290267.htm
