Free photo to download & course survey

I hope everyone had a good half term despite the weather!

Over the holiday you should have received my latest full colour newsletter full of ideas on things you can do for D&T Week as well as ideas on how to integrate the Olympics theme into your teaching. If you haven’t received the newsletter it can be downloaded at .

I want to continue to extend my free resources and as part of this I will be offering a new free resources to download each week. This will be in the form of a free downloadable photo linked to textiles e.g. techniques, equipment, fabrics. Over time you will be able to build up a number of photos that you can use to support your teaching. They can be used in a variety of ways e.g. to add to your lesson presentations and resources, for display, as task cards, and in any other way that supports teaching and learning.

Drawsting bag

This week’s photo is of a drawstring bag with 2 types of appliqué decoration, a pocket, a zip, and metal eyelets.

I am planning courses & events for the next academic year at the moment and I would like to ask for your help.

Most schools are tightening up on CPD budgets and are understandably looking for good value for money from courses they send teachers on. I am keen to find out what teachers feel would be particularly useful to them to ensure that the courses I run are appropriate and meet the needs of teachers and schools. I would therefore really appreciate some feedback from you via the short survey that is attached.

The survey is just a page long and shouldn’t take you more than a few minutes to complete and return. By filling in the survey you are not making any commitment to attending any courses and I just want to find out how best to meet the needs of teachers. If you know your school would not release you for a course it is still useful for you to fill in the form as knowing your needs helps me plan other resources I produce to support you.

Course survey

The first table on the survey focuses on courses I already have planned and what content would make them particularly useful for you. The second table focuses on other ideas for courses that I could run in the future if there was interest. The third table allows you to suggest course ideas that you feel there is a demand for.

To complete the survey click on Course survey.docx, fill in the table, save it as a new document and attach it to an email and return it back to me at . Many thanks in anticipation of your help.
